  1. Setting: Britain Dining Hall, Glenn Residence Hall

Qualities: provides a central place to sleep and eat, proper gathering place for travelers to meet and greet, all backgrounds of culture and heritage are mixed together like a melting pot, its more of an informal setting where guests can talk casually,

  3. qualities: a popular gathering place where different people congregate, has similarities to the public house in the book, brittain's architecture possesses the physical feel of a tavern too, the atmosphere is informal and not strict, people not afraid to share ideas like in the public house.

suggestions: could try to capture the aspect of the pilgrimage like in the canterbury tales, the start of a new journey, could try to convey more of a feeling of renewal and a fresh start like how the canterbury tales is set in the spring.

  4. setting: Britain dining hall, Glenn residence hall

qualities: the dining hall is a place where people from all over east campus gather to take meals. Where people stop by at the public house after traveling, people stop by Britain after the journey for knowledge at GT.

The problem with the Dining hall was that it does not include the pilgrimage aspect o the Canterbury tales. I do not believe this to be true. The pursuit of knowledge is a journey enough as it is and freshman hill is a long trip up walking.
